So I've decided to make a blog. Mosty because it's finals week, and I will do anything to avoid/not think about all the work I have to do. Also because, as my dear friend Katie said, the most ridiculous things happen to me and I want a place to document some of them.
My life isn't all that interesting, but there are some cool bits coming up—this winter break I'm backpacking Ireland, Wales, and London, on the teeny-tiny college student budget I have, to visit friends I made studying in LDN last semester. This summer a friend, actually again, my dear friend Katie, and I are (hopefully) volunteering in Guatemala, where we will play with orphans, learn some Spanish, and try not to contract malaria. Then I have one last semester here at good old Emerson College before I leave (um, also with Katie) for the city of lights, the city of angels, the concrete jungle where dreams are made of. No. Not upstate New York, as I'm sure most of you are thinking. Not even NYC. Los Angeles! I would hope the people of New York, New York would have enough substance compared to LA to avoid being THAT grammatically incorrect.
You'll also be able to listen to my cry about the state of my life, the fact that I sleep with peanut butter in my bed more often than any kind of boy-type situation, talk about the wonder that is JFK, and lament about my inability to keep my room clean.
So that's what's coming up, kiddos. Also in three days my sister is having her jaw surgically busted open and then left to mend on it's own for a handful of weeks/months. Good luck, Jenny! I don't know if this means you can't talk, but I'm looking forward to seeing you try to manage that!
Also, not sure how I feel about the background yet—it was called travel and has an old fashion TV. Two great things... old fashion TVs remind me of the 60s which had great movies and the Kennedys.
